Callum leads the way with three trys at local derby.

Today threw up a performance that we had been threatening for a few weeks.

Tries from Callum Tilleray(3), George Walker, James Booth, Fergus Donnelly and Tom Webster, ensured a comfortable 43 - 5 win against our friends at Old Caterhamians, in a game that was played in an excellent spirit.

The offloading between the forwards was much improved, with all boys looking to keep possession , once forced into contact by the opposition who tackled hard all day. Charlie ' chewbaka' Simmonds kept the maul going really well and entertained the boys with his post match ' lets put pepsi in the cottage pie' antics in the clubhouse.

Thanks to all that played out of position ( Ben (6), max(15), Jas(5), and to Joe Maher and Tom Webster who showed their versatility sharing the scrum half and wing positions.( We have great depth in strength at 9)

Mention also to Alex ( I cant find my shirt ) 'muncher' Crawley, for finally showing the way and 'fixing' the loose ball and not bending down to pick it up like they'd found 10p in the street!

'Farmer' Compton produced his best game in a Chipstead shirt and Max ' (i'm going to run the whole length of the pitch and take 5 with me) Sandeman has put down the challenge for the 12,13 position! Closely followed by quiet but deadly Carr White whose work rate was enormous.

Yellow card to Matt ( Jonny's dad) for going to work with the spare car keys, also to Grandad Tilleray for mentioning scrummaging practice again ( He does however have a point!)

Nice to have a win without relying on Jas scoring, though I must say I thought he had a great game and his clearing out after the tackle was exceptional.

Best tackler of the day must go to jamie ( you're not going to believe i can kick the ball this far) March. Superb technique, endless energy and bravery in buckets.

Big shout to all the boys with injuries today. Freddie had a thigh strain and couldn't start and Aziz had a recurrence of a knee injury after a few minutes on the pitch ( You did however look really good for 5 minutes!).

Our thoughts and regards to Ralph Clifton who has broken his collarbone playing for his school. What are they doing at Wallington; first Jack then Callum. get well soon Ralph.

Resepct to George Walker for putting the ball down over the try line and not 5 metres before it.

A really good performance today gents: you didn't take your foot of the gas at any stage. We must build on this and trust each others ability.

Callum, great leadership; Ferg, massive effort. Ben Chreighton, you nailed the blind side, Tom ' Terrier 'webster, dynamic at the breakdown.

A good day guys.

Rugby was the winner today.
