Match Report- Cloudy with a chance of meatballs!

Sunday morning pre Christmas lunch match with Cranleigh, the boys played a great game applying persistent pressure to win 26- 15. Inclement weather was blamed for Mr McDermott wiping water from his eye when young Eoin McDermott scored a try with some fancy footwork, starting the run from the 22 line.
Kwesi, Niam, Tommy and Hector all added to the score with some great play. Operational issues with the new match reporting system were resolved when Mr Jebson regained control of the Iphone from his inept assistants. (A breakdown of the key match events is listed below)
As a spectator it was an exciting match to watch with the boys working well to make ground, win the turnovers, passing the ball along the line and capitalising on Cranleigh handling errors. Well done to Alex for getting back onto the pitch after his nose met with a Cranleigh knee,
Man of the Match goes to Alfie in his debut as Captain and for his determination to keep going forward no matter how many people were hanging on to him.

A big thank you to the ladies who made the lunch , I understand that the pasta and meatballs were fantastic! As it’s the last game of 2015 I would also like to say a big thank you to the coaches for all of the effort and time they have put into making Chips under 13’s into the team they have become. And also to Kim who arranged an excellent Christmas party
