Below par performance by Exiles on League debut

So welcome to the rigours of league rugby. Chipstead Exiles underperformed in their first league encounter with the hosts good value for their win.

Congratulations to a well drilled and cohesive Effingham and Leatherhead team who played a fast, direct game that resulted in two tries either side of half time. Chipstead did threaten the host’s goal line on more than one occasion and a second half try was some compensation for the effort on the day; but overall this was a below par effort by the Exiles’ squad.
