u12s 3 Matches to 1 Victory- Great Stuff!

In brief – we played 4 matches and won 3 and lost 1.

The B’s played some fantastic rugby playing their first game of 15 a side. I watched the whole of the 1st match which we won 2 – 0. We spent most of the 1st half camped in their 22 and put lots of pressure on. Not bad seeing as we were going up hill. In honesty we could have scored earlier as we lacked a bit of precision and attacking force when the line was in sight – don’t be scared to score tries! We rucked a bit high at the start but then we sorted out or body positions and before we know it hey presto we were winning rucks at will. Great performance all round and the coaches were delighted with the effort you all put in. Well done.

The As played a fantastic match first up and won by 4 – 0. although I missed it I understand that we played some of the best rugby of the season so well done there. In the second match Phil and I both spoke to the squad about being complacent and taking hem for granted an how we needed to be up for it right from the start. Guess what – we went to sleep for 15 mins and found that they could actually play rugby and we were 3 – 0 down. Let that be a lesson to you all. The 2nd half however we knuckled down and worked hard to claw our way back. We ended with a deserved try to make it 3 – 1 and a great game was had by all. You should learn that we play good sides and if you let them back I a game they will score tries. Never let up until the final whistle.

All in all a great day ad I thought that S&E contributed to it brilliantly – we did win 3 matched to 1 though so well done all of you.

Training this Wednesday and Sunday so let’s have a good turn out in the run up to Christmas.
