A bright start in the first 20 minutes meant Chipstead led 6-5 with a couple of nudges by Liwi's magic boots and the dominance up front looked positive too but Cobham adapted well moved the ball far quicker and were also gifted a couple of soft tries to take the lead.
HT - Chipstead 6 - Cobham 28
Having to once again move some forwards into the back line as cover was never going to help with Cobhams attack line getting up a head of steam but the team kept at it and were rewarded with a super try by the ever present back Steve Dave Tarquin storming down the wing after being released by Paul Weston. Connie in his first game back also got on the score sheet although but then suffered the current 'centre curse' when he injured his arm and adds another name to the growing injured sheet.
Brian, already injured, made sure he put himself out of action too by putting himself at fallback !
FT - Chipstead 18 - Cobham 50
Some real positives were there:
A dominant pack is good but we need to play sensible and play to our strengths
Once again the call to arms meant we had more than enough players and that is great but we also need to have some consistency to develop the understanding of each others plays or we will continue to struggle.
