The Chipstead 2's are increasing in numbers and slowly increasing in confidence and belief.
The squad didn't gel properly today until it was too late and sadly, if the hard work in the 1st half had paid off, the whole story may have been much different. It was only because of some stout OW's defence and the odd error that The Chips weren't at least three tries up by half time.
Oh yes, forgot to mention, the referee turned up, on time, nearly and looked very smart!
Well done to the old uni's who started the game off and well done to the young uni's who stepped up and played their part. Debut try to Ollie, first senior games to James Mann and Luke Mason. Lovely kicking and running lines from Fred Howells. Michael, Kyle and Shaun all played their part and Stood up to the opposition who held on so desperately for the last 20 minutes.
PS's
Thank you DW I hope your nose clicks back into place, again!
Sorry Captain Connie I will not make that error again I want you to FTL!
Sorry to those that didn't get on, we did our best to get as many on as possible, however..........!
A fixture the 2's should have won but, didn't
With such good numbers we will also be selecting the best 22 available and publish the team on Thursday evening / Friday Morning. Training and commitment will be considered, however, it is great news for the whole squad and club that we will have competition for places.
Next Saturday is at Chipstead RFC Midday meet and we will see you all there. Please make an effort if you are wanting the same fun and success as I do.
Please let Capt Connie FTL !,,,,,!
