AFTER their 52 pointer the previous week at Worth Old Boys, Chipstead cruised to take another five points in the league at the Meads on Saturday.
A vice-president's lunch before the game set up the support and the Chipstead players were in their stride from the kick off.
Chipstead were on the score board two minutes into the game when a break by Marc Trumper opened up the defence and slick passing put Miles Vallance into space and over for the try.
Ten minutes later Vallance got his second, converted by Simon Martin, but at 12-0 down Law Society picked up and kept Chipstead pinned in the 22 but defence remained solid and they were not rewarded with a score.
A fast break from the goalline led by Andy Wright left Law scrambling for cover, good interplay by the Dupe brothers led to John Holah having a 20-metre sprint to the line. Martin got the conversion.
At 19-0 down, Law knew they had some work to do and started the second half strongly, but Chipstead responded and another breakout got the ball to Martin for a try in the corner.
Richard Trepant followed up minutes later with a strong run through the middle and the game was rounded off by a slightly dubious try from Mitch Lock when he looked to have knocked on, but the referee was happy with the grounding and seven points were added to the scoreline.
Chipstead play away on Saturday in the RFU Vase at Old Cranleighans, who have been promoted into Surrey One this season.
