Three tries (Ryan, Chris & Ed), 1 conversion and a penalty (Tommy) were just enough to edge out the OW's in their backyard on Saturday.
Racing to a 12-0 lead the home side might of thought things were going to go their own way but Chipstead have the best defensive record in the League and showed resolve and eventually made that count whilst adding a few points of their own. The game was nip and tuck all the way through with a try each in the last 10 minutes that saw the lead change hands a couple of times. Even in the last play of the game a scrum time penalty infringement could of cost Chipstead but a superman leap by MoM Michael Mason stole the resulting lineout against the throw and the ball was kicked dead to complete an important turn around of results for Chipstead.
Wins are a premium in this very close league so even the bonus point for the OW's could prove very important.
