Chipstead Flames Women’s Touch Rugby is open to all women – whether you’ve played before or are completely new to the game.
Training
We train regularly on Wednesday nights – from 6:45 pm until 8pm - and then make the most of our on-site bar for a post-training catch-up.
What to expect
We have a friendly team of coaches that will lead you through the warm-up, skills, drills, and games.
What to wear
Sports clothes: most of us wear leggings or shorts, a t-shirt, and a sports bra, with a jumper for the warm-up.
Footwear: trainers will be fine for a couple of sessions, players go on to get boots with plastic moulded studs to give more grip.
How much does it cost
The first three sessions are free; thereafter, you will need to pay a membership fee of £6 per month or £72 per year to join Chipstead Rugby Club as a Flames member.
Social
After training, we take advantage of our on-site rugby club bar to chat with the other players; for many of us, this is the best part of the Flames!
We also organise regular social events, including quiz nights, rugby socials, and much more
Matches and competitions
We train weekly all year round, but spice it up with local friendlies at other rugby clubs, and enter three/four all-day competitions held at rugby clubs in the southeast. We round off the season with a trip abroad to compete in an international tournament (with a very strong emphasis on the social).
Fitness. Friendship. Community.
