Robin was taken ill on Good Friday and was admitted to St George’s Hospital, Tooting where he suffered a second heart attack and died on Sunday 31st of March 2013.

Surrey’s loss is nought compared to that of his wife Joanna and their two children Sophie and Rory to whom we extend our condolences and sympathies on behalf of the entire rugby community in Surrey.

Robin joined Surrey Rugby 7 years ago as the Chairmen of the Mole Community, more recently has co-ordinated the county’s facilities strategy and became Secretary in 2011.

His funeral will take place at St Lawrence, Effingham at 2.30pm on Friday 12th April and there will be a reception afterwards at the Effingham & Leatherhead RFC clubhouse, where Robin had been a member for many years and Secretary for 9 of them.

All are welcome to the church and afterwards to the Club.

The family has requested no flowers, but would like any donations to be for the benefit of CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) which the Club has strongly supported in recent years.
