Make sure you tell the RFU that you are affiliated with Chipstead RFC before the season starts!

Due to recent changes in data protection laws, all Chipstead RFC mini and junior team members are required to re-affiliate themselves and family members with the club this summer with the Rugby Football Union (RFU).

We are all required to do this, even if you are already affiliated with Chipstead RFC on the RFU Game Management System. This is critical to enable the RFU and our club to ensure that we are upholding all necessary safeguarding duties for every child in our club.

What is player affiliation?

Player affiliation (formerly "registration") has been a requirement within RFU regulations for many years. Age grade affiliation replaced the term age grade registration, but follows the same process. All players are required to be registered with their playing club and / or schools in order to compete.

Chipstead RFC can no longer carry out the affiliation process for you. The responsibility for this data is that of the player (or parent of an U18 member). However, we as a Club must monitor and approve our members affiliation on GMS and have to ensure that all players do it.
