For the information of referees and Team Managers/Coaches at all levels of the game, I have recently taken over as Referee Coordinator for the club. The first step is to re-establish contact with all the referees that the club has.

In order to achieve this, can I ask that all of you who ref your age groups contact me and let me know who you are, what age group you are this coming season, how trained/experienced you are and your contact details.

My plan is to build upon Shonkers excellent work of a couple of years back and try and establish a considerable pool of referees who are willing and able to ref not only their own age group but also those above and below to ensure a consistent availability of refs each Sunday.

I will arrange a meeting in due course to establish everyone's requirements and put in place a plan to recruit, train and retain a pool of willing and able people to carry out this vital role, which after all, no match can do without.
