Welcome to the 110th Chipstead Village Flower Show and Fair, which this year is on 20th July, St. Margaret’s Day – our local church is named after St. Margaret. We have reprinted the brief history of the show again, including the painting of the fair in 1809, by Peter de Wint. The show this year will be held 210 years to the day since he painted the picture.

The 20th July is also the 50th anniversary of man’s first landing on the moon in 1969, by Apollo 11. We have Moon categories for you to enter under the children’s and home produce sections!

At last year’s show we had exceptional weather, and as I write this on a cold and snowy morning in January, I am hoping for the same good weather this summer.

We have made significant changes to the schedule again this year including some of the classes, but hopefully have retained most of your favourites.

I do hope you will enjoy the entertainment we have arranged for you, more details are in the schedule and in the programme of events produced on the day.
